The Code War

 Hello and  welcome my lovely readers in this post i will be taking a look at times magazines article on The Code War.

Code war's tells a story of Aaron Portnoy a hacker that started young when he was in high school when he hacked a cool program and gained access to his grades and everyone else's.  Thanks to that he was asked to leave the institution will and he finished up its educational career at its local high school.  When he finished college he started his own software company which is dedicated to finding bugs and selling these bugs back to other companies that make them to prevent someone from packing them make he did to his high school network.

If you look a little deeper you'll see that the Internet has become a war zone where the government and criminals alike are in low level cyber warfare.  The flight slowly become visible to the world when it is found out that hacker groups from China are being sponsored by the Russian military steel U.S intelligence.  Even though it seems that this is something that would happen in the future it's already happening in this day and age books are sold between companies and enemies and with those bugs hackers can access to all information that they need to hurt other companies or their enemies.  The first cyber weapon that we have any information about is called Stuxnet which was introduced in the rain city to take down a nuclear factory via USB this destroyed 20% of the computers that were there and sent back to schematics and information back to its masters

 What made it effective was that it exploited some bugs in Microsoft Windows with these exploits they were able to hack into the system and gain entry into the system and the information they were after.  But the business of buying bugs goes far beyond this in 1995 when a company called Netscape release the program that need people to look for bugs in their system they didn't to destroy their own program they just wanted to fix the holes in the programming.  But that in all this companies were formed that that are used to keep bugs secret from the rest of the world that the word like the type of safe.  So instead as selling it to a criminal or government use sell to them and they alert their clients which in turn makes their programs that much safer.
